PUBLISHED ON March 6, 2014
Richmond Community College is offering a 6-week ceramic tile class for anyone looking to gain a new skill set.
Jill Vuncannon of Ellerbe will be teaching a 6-week course on installing ceramic tile at Richmond Community College.
The class will be held April 3 through May 7 on Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
Course instructor Jill Vuncannon said the ceramic tile class caters to the do-it-yourselfer who wants to complete a home project as well as the professional handyman.
“Students will learn the basics of installing ceramic tile, touching on everything from floors, countertops, showers and backsplashes,” Vuncannon said.
The class is a hands-on experience, and students will complete multiple projects. All supplies will be provided.
Vuncannon of Ellerbe has 18 years of experience laying tile. She learned how to install tile in order to do some home projects, but it turned into a business as she built a customer base from completing a number of small jobs.
To register for this class offered through RCC’s Workforce and Economic Development division, call Holly Russell at (910) 410-1704 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Tuition for the class is $70.
