The student user manual has detailed information and directions on using all the features of Blackboard.

This online manual is available under Tools.

After clicking Tools from the navigation panel, click the User Manual from the list. (Note: You may need to scroll down this page to find the User Manual link.)

After clicking User Manual , a two-paned window will open (as you see below). On the left is the table of contents for the manual. As you click on a topic on the left, the help for that topic is displayed on the right.

Information is arranged in sections and chapters, as in a book. When you click on an image of a book, it is opened to reveal the chapters available. Below, Part One: Introduction has been clicked to reveal the three chapters available in that part of the manual.

Clicking on Chapter 3, for example, reveals the topics available in that chapter. Click on a topic to view information about it.

If you don't know where to look for information, you can click on Search tab (next to Contents above). This will give you a search box to enter what you are looking for. Suppose you needed help with working with assignments and weren't sure which chapter to look in. You might enter assignments in the search box and then press the Enter key.

After pressing Enter with the search term, a list of topics is displayed (see below). You can then click on a topic for more information.
