Unusual Circumstances /
Dislocated Worker

Although the process of determining a student's eligibility for federal student aid is basically the same for all applicants, there is some flexibility. Based on documentation you provide, the Financial Aid Office can take into account circumstances that might affect the amount you and your family are expected to contribute toward your education. These circumstances could include a family's recent changes in employment status, or changes in marital status. You may check the unusual circumstances or dislocated worker box when completing the FAFSA form. Contact the Financial Aid Office AFTER completing the FAFSA Form, if you feel you have any unusual circumstances that might affect the amount you and your family are expected to contribute.
