Banking: Customer Service Training

This course is designed to provide training for individuals to work as Bank Teller or customer service representatives. Emphasis is placed on MS Windows and Internet Explorer, English, Grammar, basic math skills, functions of the baking industry, telephone skills, the teller's responsibility in banking, daily transaction procedures, customer service, suspicious activity reports, banking trends. Upon completion the student will be able to describe the basic functions of the banking industry, define the teller's responsibility in banking, explain and perform a variety of daily transaction procedures, demonstrate quality customer service using various strategies, identify counterfeit currency, and recognize the tricks used by con artists, complete currency transaction reports, suspicious activity reports, perform basic mathematical operations, use grammatically correct English in oral and written communications, and demonstrate knowledge of banking trends. A book is required for this course.

This is a unique opportunity to take a curriculum (credit) course as a continuing education student. If you just need the skills and are not interested in a degree, diploma, or certificate, this could meet your needs. The introduction to fabricating duct work could be just what you need in your job. Any of the skills you gain could help your resume. If you like the courses, the next step would be enrolling in the curriculum program.

Comfort Cooling (AHR113)

This course covers the installation procedures, system operations, and maintenance of residential and light commercial comfort cooling systems. Topics include terminology, component operation, and testing and repair of equipment used to control and produce assured comfort levels. Upon completion, students should be able to use psychometrics, manufacturer specifications, and test instruments to determine proper system operation.
This is a curriculum course that can be taken without receiving academic credit or a grade.

This course provides instruction to individuals who want to become commissioned as a notary public. Topics include legal, ethical, and procedural requirements of the Notary Act as described in General Statute 10B Article 1. Upon completion of this course with a passing exam grade of 80%, a person is eligible to make application with the NC Secretary of State office. Pet Grooming I & II

Are you interested in pet care? In this course you will learn how to maintain kennels & crates, take care of the diet & health of pets, train them and much more. You will also learn about various types & behavior of dogs and cats; their anatomy; grooming techniques; healthcare etc. Being a groomer includes taking care of the pets in every manner from bathing & drying to trimming & cutting of hair.
