Paragon Ragtime Orchestra

Monday, January 25, 2010, 7:30 p.m.

The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra’s repertoire is a varied one including blues, waltzes, operatic parodies, novelty numbers, marches, rag, and popular songs of the vintage American popular music era. The show will “light-up” the Cole stage with short vintage-era, silent films with Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and Harold Lloyd projected on the screen. The 12-piece ensemble accompanies the films using the original scores including some recognizable songs, but much of the music is a direct reflection of the action on the screen.
